Well, it has been awhile since I have written. Some very busy days. In a nutshell
Thursday-taught class, had rehearsal with chamber winds, had chamber concert Thursday night. Very nice audience and a great performance by all of the groups. I was very pleased with the event.
Friday-taught class, rested all afternoon and started packing, concert last night.

the orchestra played very, very well. Certainly the best we had played during the two weeks here. Candide was crystal clear and clean. I MESSED UP on the Copland. ARGH!!!! Gave an oboe cue a measure early and the whole winds section went with me, so the winds were a measure ahead of the strings for about 7 bars. VERY uncomfortable, but we regrouped and all ended well. they had worked so hard on that piece and then I messed it up. I guess these things happen.
Stayed out til 300 in the morning last night at a salsa pub and had a great time. Got up and finished packing this morning and I am ready to go. Getting picked up at 10 to go to the airport.
